We are excited to announce that our Fulham Gasworks Masterplan project has now been submitted for planning.
Located in the heart of Fulham, the residential led proposal seeks to redevelop the 17.5 acre former gasworks, delivering much needed homes in recognition of the site's strategic allocation within the South Fulham Riverside Regeneration Area.
Partially sitting within the Imperial Square and Gasworks Conservation Area, the masterplan will provide up to 1,375 new dwellings, ancillary residential facilities, flexible commercial uses, retail offers and leisure uses across 24 development plots.
A new square, arranged around the primary desire lines across the site, will provide an enhanced setting for two Grade-II listed buildings and a listed war memorial, whilst creating a focus for the commercial uses and generating an animated and vibrant public realm.
At the centre of the masterplan, a new urban park establishes a significant area of open space, providing much needed amenity for the wider community, whilst also providing a setting for the Grade-II listed Gasholder No. 2, widely reported as the oldest surviving gasholder in the world.
The outline planning application also contains a detailed component forming the first phase of the development; comprising 297 residential units and a range of retail and commercial uses at ground level including residential leisure facilities. A single storey basement will also house the site-wide energy centre, along with car and cycle parking.
The project is targeted to go before committee by the end of 2016.
