“Bringing back to life four Victorian buildings within a tight central London site to meet today’s living standards.”
The Lincolns is a residential development scheme located in the heart of the city of London and is set within the Bloomsbury Conservation Area.
The scheme comprises of 16 high specification residential apartments set over four floors above ground floor, basement and retail units. The original Victorian façades have been retained and reintegrated.
A key element in achieving the project’s viability was to combine the four existing buildings into one development using a single stair core. The mixture of one and two bedroom single and dual-aspect units which are accessed through a designated residential entrance in the ground floor and sit above the ground floor retail units.
The use of traditional materials combined with integrated photovoltaic roof panels, high levels of thermal insulation, efficient heat recovery systems and a bio-diversity roof make this development very sustainable.
The Lincolns, achieved practical completion in August 2015.
